About Local 2455

Local 2455 is the exclusive representative of all non-supervisory Border Patrol agents and support staff within the Laredo Border Patrol Sector. Local 2455 is an affiliate of the American Federation of Government Employees (AFGE) and the National Border Patrol Council (NBPC).

We represent our members for bargaining issues, disciplinary and adverse actions, legislative matters, Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO), workers compensation (OWCP), health and safety, and numerous other issues. We are comprised of over 1200 members assigned to the Laredo Border Patrol Sector.

The executive board is comprised of eight dedicated members, who are nominated and elected by our membership for two-year terms. Our current board oversees the stations and other duty locations throughout the Laredo Border Patrol Sector with the help of over 60 hard-working and dedicated union stewards.

We have a commitment to our members to provide representation to the best of our abilities. We also provide legal representation for administrative and criminal issues that occur within the course and scope of employment via the NBPC Legal Service Plan (LSP) and PORAC Legal Defense Fund (LDF).
